The Conscience

A law professor struggles with his conscience after his brother's disappearance, in this Kafkaesque drama set in the Soviet era.

The story takes place in Soviet Russia, Petrograd, in the 1920s, and starts with the murder of the main character's brother. The desire to find the person responsible for the death of his brother, leads Boris Letush, law professor to devastation and despair. No one needs the truth. Conflict with the state system, which ignores the law, leads Boris to conflict with his own conscience.
