My Little Chickadee
Two of comedy's coarsest wise-crackers, W.C. Fields and Mae West, saddle up for this ribald comic western.
Director: Eddie Cline
Overview
When Universal Studios proposed teaming its two giant comic stars, W.C. Fields and Mae West, it put forward a script that Fields dubbed 'Corn in the Wind'. But the two great prima donnas of comedy bonded to produce an unexpected gem, as conman Cuthbert J Twillie and bad girl Flower Belle Lee hit the wild west.
Both stars get some great lines. Fields, about to be lynched, cries: 'I'd like to see Paris before I die! Philadelphia will do!'
