Fearing for their lives, they are thrown into the arms of a gay opera singer and his manipulative manager.

Directed by BAFTA winner Philip Saville from a script by Frank Clarke, The Fruit Machine stars two virtual unknowns - Emile Charles and Tony Forsyth - as two unfortunate gay youngsters on the run when they witness a murder.
