Overview

Beautiful black-and-white animation inspired by the work of painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard (and his anatomist cousin Honoré). While it may be one of the more abstract works from the Brothers Quay, this is also one of their most visually striking productions.

With the animation flowing from a calligrapher's pen, it's been described by the brothers as "a private documentary on the straight line, that bleeds and runs and is softened by the focus".
