Overview

One of the two shows contained in the archive passed to the BFI after the demise of Rediffusion, highlights here include a solo turn from Tim Brooke-Taylor as the one-man battalion, Graham Chapman as a government minister literally falling to pieces and a classic Marty Feldman template in which he plays an employee (engine driver Spriggs) being taken to task for an escalating series of misdemeanours. But it is the four-handed ‘Cops in Drag’ sketch that catches the eye and which the cast clearly enjoyed performing the most, playing tricks on each other and unable to contain their own laughter.
