Overview

Following scenes from a pub – with lots of empty glasses and a full ashtray – we head outside to the Aldwych Theatre. The RSC are staging A Midsummers Night Dream starting Diana Rigg and Ian Richardson and the police are outside in force to control the crowds. Next come shots of a bus stop on rainy Kingsway and then from inside a taxi. A rush from Joan Littlewood’s film about London leisure.
