NFU Demonstration at Pershore
The farmers of Pershore come out fighting in a mass tractor-drive through the middle of the Worcestershire town.

Overview
At Pershore in Worcestershire the local MP, Sir Gerald Nabarro, rides into town on a tractor and trailer like a Roman gladiator, albeit at a somewhat slower pace. Politically he's a fish out of water: a Conservative MP supporting farmers at a trade union demo protesting against the Labour government's Farm Price Review. "And why shouldn't farmers drive Jaguars?" Nabarro blusters in reply to one of reporter Jeffrey Watson's more searching questions.
John Stallard of the National Farmers' Union is the first interviewee. Sir Gerald Nabarro represented Kidderminster from 1950 until 1964 and then the neighbouring constituency of South Worcestershire from 1966 until his death in 1973. His political downfall however came in 1971 when his car was seen being driven erratically in Hampshire with Nabarro insisting in court that it had been his secretary behind the wheel.
