Overview

Babies in varied moods feature in this fundraising appeal film promoting infant welfare centres during National Baby Week. While the tots are subjected to a range of examinations, their mothers pick up tips on making baby clothes and other guidance to help produce "stronger children and a nobler race." Some of the scenes were shot in the Ealing Welfare Centre, Mattock Lane, London.

The National Baby Week activities also included a generous Ј200 prize for the Empire's Bonniest Baby, born of British parents, to be announced at the culmination of Imperial Baby Week at Wembley in July 1924.
