Overview

The discreet charms of mid-seventies Redhill are on display in this film from the North Downs Cinematographic Society - from its architectural delights to the orderliness of its streets. In fact the film provides an interesting record of the deterioration of a town's fabric prior to its total redevelopment. We see closed and abandoned houses, shops, cinemas and other civic amenities. The scenes of dereliction are neatly rounded off with a burst of Land of Hope and Glory.
