Overview

A film that captures the fun of touring by car in the 1930s. We begin in busy Croydon, where trams and buses reign supreme, looking down on an outdoor market. Then we're off to various historic towns and beauty spots around Sussex and Surrey. A flat tyre is followed by a picnic and views from Box Hill, then it's off to the coast at Birling Gap. We're next on the Isle of Wight playing on the beaches of Ryde and Shanklin. We end with more picnics and a view of the Brooklands race track.
