Documentary drama 1928 39 mins Silent

Overview

This silent public information film from the 1920s warns young men of the dire consequences that will arise from licentious living. Despite ostensibly being about the danger of catching gonorrhoea from prostitutes, this tale of a young man's adventures in the big city seems to be saying that one should stay well clear of all women - they’re nothing but trouble and will lead to ruin and damnation. And there's not a sailor in sight in this uncharted sea.

The actual production date for this film is not known, but the films being advertised outside the cinema seen in the film all date from 1928.
