Overview

The date is 6 November 1912 and, according to the Melton Mowbray Times, thousands of people travelled from across the Midlands to see the Quorn Hunt off on their first fox hunt of the new season. According to the paper the resulting queue of horse drawn and mechanically propelled vehicles used to transport them stretched for a couple of miles. Those crowds are certainly in evidence in this local topical that would have been a popular attraction in Melton cinemas at the time.
