Overview

This short colour film promotes the process of spray steelmaking, a flexible method of steel manufacture allowing blast furnace hot metal to be continuously refined. The film includes footage of the technique being developed at the British Iron and Steel Research Association laboratories in Sheffield, and spray steelmaking is then seen in action at the Lancashire Steel Manufacturing Company.
