Overview
Clunky as it might seem to the modern eye, this party political cartoon film produced for the mobile cinema vans of the Conservative and Unionist Film Association was pretty state-of-the-art stuff. Issues of austerity and low taxation to boost trade are familiar today, and the film firmly points the finger of national economic failure at its opposition without mentioning a global financial crisis.
