Overview

Often referred to as the ‘Gem of the Norfolk Coast’, the town of Cromer lies on the north east coast of the county of Norfolk, around twenty-three miles from the city of Norwich. Tourism is a major economy in the town, and fishing as ‘Cromer Crab’ is a local delicacy. The town boasts a Victorian pier which was significantly damaged during a storm surge on December 5th, 2013. The lighthouse is 18 metres tall and the light has a range of 39 kilometres.
