Scotch - And a Splash!

Dancers, musicians and athletes brave the weather for the Highland Games at Braemar.

Non-Fiction 1930 1 mins

Overview

Kilts galore and enough rain to drown a bagpipe - a cliché it may be, but unsurprisingly, we really are in Scotland. The Topical Budget newsreel cameras have ventured north to cover the illustrious Braemar Highland Games where this year the runners risk drowning and the Highland dancers are apparently walking on water. Things look a bit brighter for the strong men taking on the Putting of the Stone and the Throwing of the Hammer. The weather clearly hasn’t kept the crowds away.
