Overview

Fascinating scenes here from the world of women's football. Preston Ladies F.C., originally known as the Dick, Kerr ladies team, play at grounds across the north of England, including Avenham Park in their home town and Seedhill in Nelson. Shot by Alf Frankland, the team's first manager, the film concludes with scenes of T.A. volunteers at the Lancashire Fusiliers' Cross Lane barracks in Salford.
