Accidents happen, and when it comes to burns and scalds, prevention is key. This hard-hitting public information film effectively illustrates all manner of catastrophes and how to avoid them. It's an unflinching account of potential child burn victims, which speaks directly to their parents or responsible adult. This is a longer and more detailed version of the short film Burns and Scalds, also available on BFI Player. It's the stuff of nightmares, but this only helps make the safety message so powerful that it can't be ignored.
This government film is a public record, preserved and presented by the BFI National Archive on behalf of The National Archives, home to more than 1,000 years of British history.
