Paisley Children's Happy Hunting Ground
Boisterous and infectiously happy youngsters form a child scrum outside the New Alex Cinema, Paisley.
Overview
Far from camera shy, these boisterous and infectiously happy youngsters form a veritable scrum outside the New Alex Cinema, once situated on Orr Street in Paisley. This promotional film was commissioned by the cinema and aimed at the kids' parents, who are invited to spot their child on screen - a canny ploy reminiscent of the business model of Edwardian filmmakers Mitchell and Kenyon. Watch out for the trouble makers, the squabblers, and those larger than life characters as they file past!
The New Alexandra, or 'Alex' Cinema, was demolished in the 1960s.
