Overview

Just off the A38 Roman road north of Lichfield is the village of Alrewas. With the A38, River Trent and Trent and Mersey Canal passing close by most people encountering this lovely village will be on their way to somewhere else. This short home movie produced by local resident Terry Dowling makes the case to stop and linger. With timber framed buildings lining Main Street and quiet traffic free roads, Alrewas in the 1960s was a tranquil spot off the beaten track.
