Overview
Bombs on the Wirral in 1940 forced the Crawfords to relocate, their holiday home in Llanarmon–yn-Iâl providing a safe haven. William H T Crawford, father of the family and an ingenious inventor, was an engineer who worked for Briggs, a haulage contractor in Liverpool. He provides here an affectionate portrait of post-war rural life in neighbouring village Llanferres, showing milking, scything, haymaking and hall building.
