Another example of early amateur cinematography from Robert A Mitchell, yet to perfect his cranking technique.

Overview

Another example of early amateur cinematography from Robert A. Mitchell, this film runs very quickly most likely because Mitchell was not running the film through fast enough. The resulting image is not only jerky and fast, but the frame itself is very unsteady. Undoubtedly, early cameras were difficult to master. By comparison, the camera WKL Dickson used in South Africa (where Mitchell also filmed) doubled as a dining table.
