Overview

This footage consists of aerial views over North Norfolk recorded in 1977, an unusual perspective for an amateur filmmaker to capture. The film shows the lush greens of the Holkham Hall Estate parkland, some 25,000 acres, with the 18th century country house as the centrepiece, then moving further out, with views of the golden sands of the coastline – Holkham beach and the Blakeney National Nature Reserve.

A record of the Norfolk landscape in 1977 recorded on Super 8 colour film by John Lincoln of Attleborough, a Marconi engineer and home movie maker.
