Overview

This film conveys the laughter and happiness of this particular Big Day with its as yet unknown participants, the only clue being the name 'Herman' on the original spool. The bride's beautiful, stylish dress is a little difficult to manage but it doesn't hinder her enjoyment and it shows off her silken shoes. Gathering up the skirt after the photographs, she is assisted into a waiting car by one of the two bridesmaids, who are resplendent in satin coats of blue and lilac.

This film is from a collection of films shot by Chris Jenkins (1901-1990), proprietor of 'Vanda's' hair salon in Charles Street (later Dumphries Place), Cardiff. He was a keen amateur artist, astronomer and film-maker, being a stalwart of Cardiff Cine Society for 45 years, becoming its president.
