Overview

Is your husband a layabout? If so, the Health Education Council's (HEC) advice is to attach him to a leash and take him for a walk round the park. This outlandish public information short was part of the HEC's mass media fitness campaign, Look After Yourself, which launched in 1978 at a cost of £750,000. One of the HEC'S incentives for leading a healthier life included, among other things, the promise of a better sex life.

Indeed, Roger has to be restrained when he spots another man's wife on a leash across the park. The film was the brainchild of Saatchi & Saatchi and is characteristically innovative and bold in its interpretation of the commissioner's message.
