The visual splendour - as well as practical benefits - of overhead runways and conveyors are marvellously illustrated in this promotional film shot in unidentified dockyards. The company which made the equipment, called Rownson, Drew & Clydesdale Ltd, was established in 1821, and later moved into making baggage handling apparatus for airports.
