The 1927 FA Cup final saw Cardiff City play Arsenal in front of George V and a capacity crowd at Wembley. The great Herbert Chapman had recently taken over at Arsenal and an easy win was predicted, but as they failed to breach the Welsh defence, Hughie Ferguson scored the only goal with a low shot fumbled over the line by the Arsenal keeper.
