Helen Biggar, who made this film of a May Day parade in Glasgow, had a remarkably varied, but brief, artistic career as a sculptor, filmmaker and theatre designer. The importance of her political beliefs to her work is demonstrated by her choice of subject matter in this film made in her native city of Glasgow.
