Overview

This whirlwind rail tour begins in 1961 with the last passenger train to travel the Tenbury and Bewdley Railway from Kidderminster to Woofferton Junction. A feast of delights then awaits the viewer, as this reel of railway miscellany takes us into South Wales to traverse the Ebbw Vale line, Newbridge and Blaina. Then it's swiftly on to Stafford in preparation for the West Coast Main Line electrification scheme.

Filmed by renowned railway enthusiast William Arthur 'Cam' Camwell, the film also takes in Timperley Junction, the Lickey Incline, Hunslet Locomotive Works, Great Barr, Walsall, Wolverhampton Low Level, Wrexham General and Handsworth and Smethwick, ending in about 1965.
