Overview

Made by Brighton-based G.A. Smith for the Warwick Trading Company, and widely distributed as part of their Biokam strand, this ‘facial’ comedy showcases the rubber face of Tom Green – here in drag as ‘Aunt Selina’. Smith has been credited with inventing the close-up in other Green collaborations, such as Grandma’s Reading Glass. While he may have chosen to place the camera close to the actor’s face, it is the versatility and charm of Green’s expressions that give the close-up its reason for being.
