Overview

Woodrush School is situated in Hollywood. That's not Hollywood, USA but Hollywood on the southern edge of Birmingham. This nostalgic look back at school life reminds us of the clear gender divide that existed at the time. The highlight for Sylvia is her chance to play the housewife and prepare a meal for a member of staff whilst Keith puts on his woodwork apron or gets down to a spot of digging in the school's garden.
