Comedy 1911 4 mins Silent

Overview

A beach flirtation gets complicated in this summery seaside comedy. When a thief makes off with a woman's shoes and stockings while she's paddling in the sea, her would-be suitor finds himself the target of blame. What can he do to makes things right?

This was probably one of a number of films shot around Lulworth Cove in Dorset, where director Lewin Fitzhamon, producer Cecil Hepworth and a retinue of cast and crew decamped in the summer of 1911. Lanky star Hay Plumb proved his range two years later when he directed the Hepworth company's production of Hamlet (1913).
