Overview

The wedding of Beryl Jones and Robin Varley at Tabernacle Chapel, Powell Street, Aberystwyth on 19/10/1968. Guests arrive at the chapel in a splendid array of outfits, Rolls Royces transport bride and bridesmaids, the groom waits nervously and checks his watch. But it all goes like clockwork and, following a reception at the Belle Vue Royal Hotel, the newly-weds leave for their honeymoon in a mini.

The film was commissioned by Margaret Parry Jones, warden of the Avondale home, Aberystwyth (where the bride's mother – Sarah [Sally] Jones - also worked) and shot by her brother-in-law.
