Heart of a Coster 1915

United Kingdom

This dynamic drama charts the tensions between cockney street-hawking brothers Seth and Joe, rival suitors for the heart of Sal. The film is well-scripted, with strong character development, excellent continuity and good use of London locations. Alas, only the first (badly damaged) reel survives, ending the action, prematurely, on a dramatic high.

The presence of actress Blanche Forsythe as Sal suggests that the credited Company AAA may have been a sub-brand of the Ealing-hased Barker studio.
